Film showing - My own perspective as a PCU student

About the movie "The Adventures of Kween Jhonabelle

Jhonabelle desires to get into a prestigious university, but her dreams are crushed when her aunt abandons her and her brother Jhanjhan. Now without anything except some little money, Jhonabelle suffers to sustain herself.
Her brother’s condition worsens when he is diagnosed with leukemia, which nearly pushes Jhonabelle over the edge of despair.
To earn money for his treatment, she performs on YouTube, making prank videos that unexpectedly go viral. The popularity leads to a fundraise that gives her brother an opportunity to survive.
However, something tragic occurs when someone gets all the hard-earned cash she had saved. Despite having sought help from authorities and fans, Jhonabelle finds herself alone and ridiculed by those who think of it as a means of getting more views.
Jhonabelle confronts her challenges head-on, and through resilience and determination, she shows that even in the darkest moments, hope and kindness can exist.

What do I think after watching the movies?

I think the movie's message is the value of courage, durability, and strength, which together form the core of the movie. Kween Jhonabelle teaches us the value of fighting and her continuous will to overcome unfortunate events. Her path teaches us that even when life throws us curveballs or surprises, our determination can guide us. The movie shows us how ordinary individuals can transform into incredible people through handling and love for our families, or even just for her brother, because Jhonabelle shows a lot of love for her brother, but yeah, everything will come to an end, and we have to move forward, no matter how tough the situation is.

My recommendation for this film

I highly recommend this movie if you are into a type of movie that has a lot of engaging comedy, unfortunate events, and character development. But if you don't like Gen Z humor, I don't think you will like this movie. The director uses a lot of Gen Z humor since the movie talks about the problems of teenagers in this era, but for me, I think it's a great movie, so why not try it for yourself?
